Most people answer this one in the body before they answer it in words. A jaw. A shoulder. A place in the chest that doesn't loosen even on the good days. This question isn't asking you to fix that. It's asking you to notice what's actually there before you explain it away.
People searching this territory tend to ask it sideways: why won't my body relax, why do I keep bracing for something that already happened, why does the same tension come back no matter how much I stretch it out.
I still find the tight spot before I find the thought underneath it. That order matters. The mind explains second.
There's a version of this where the thing that won't move isn't stuck at all. It's just doing a job nobody told it was finished.
What if it moved. Not fixed, not healed, just moved. What would be standing where the bracing used to be.
The body remembers what the mind agreed to forget. That's not a metaphor. It's closer to how the nervous system actually works.
I wrote more about this in The Body Never Left You.
If something came up while you sat with this one, and you feel comfortable to share, I'd like to hear it. Private, under your name, or anonymous, whichever feels right to you.
