Attention is like a zoom lens\n

\n | \n I never knew I could do this with my attention. Wish someone had told me earlier!\nFor a long time, most of my attention was focused externally on getting somewhere in the world - work, money, family, friends, etc. On the outside I looked successful by society’s standards. Inside I was playing a losing battle… I just didn’t know it then. \nTrying to do too much, too soon. \nYou’ve probably heard this story before. \nBut maybe you haven’t heard this next part The last few years, I practiced a lot of meditation and pranayama breath work. I learned to bring the focus of my attention inward to my inner sense of being. To presence. \nWhere before I would have felt busy, stressed, striving, competing, anxious to win… now… it feels different. \nCalm. Accepting. Fearless. Effortless. \nAs expansive as space. \nNow it feels like a zoom lens. I can extend the focus of my attention externally on the world’s activities… or I can dial it in and focus inward, tapping into that peace and calm at the centre. \nAnd the more time I spend with my attention on being, the deeper the satisfaction that all is well and unfolding as it will. \nSo this is my attempt to share something important that I wish I knew before. \nI hope it helps you, wherever you are in life. \nIf you want the resources I use for meditation or breathwork, let me know and I’ll send them to you to try. \nAnd I’m always happy to hop on a call if you want a buddy to practice with. \nWith love ❤️ \nYou got this 🙌🏼 \nZaheer \n You'll get to see anonymous results when you pick an option in the poll below. \n
